Isaiah Mateas is a Queer Latino theater maker from the Bay Area, residing in Los Angeles, California. Isaiah is a director, voice actor, audio-book narrator, and overall creative storyteller.
Musicals are a passion and collective heartbreak of American theatrical culture, and Isaiah aims to sustain this through producing boundary breaking work such as In The Heights and Sweet Charity (AD).
Isaiah finds original works and stage plays with a dramatic anchor to produce and retell the artistry of theater. Directed plays such as devised work by Sarah Lina Sparks, Goodbye Billy the Butterfly premiered at the UCLA Northwest Campus Auditorium.
Another caveat to Isaiah's work is the commitment to changing the boundaries of theater by transforming the audience's perception. Written and Directed works such as Self-Deprivation at UCLA, include a meditative soundscape play that explores the intricacies of the human condition.
